Thankful Saturday?

Ok, so I'm WAY overdue on the Thankful Thursdays. My apologies...I kind of forget about blogging in the middle of the week. That being said, that means I have that much more to be thankful for, right?

I am thankful Spring is on its' way, SO thankful! I'm thankful to have a job in this economy, I'm thankful to own a home in this economy, I'm thankful for my friends (the best friends, getting to know you friends, acquaintences that will become friends, the once a year friends, wish we were friends but our lives are too busy friends, yup, all of 'em!) Today I'm thankful for Diet Coke, that sweet carbonated burn that tickles your throat and yet begs you to take another sip. And I'm thankful for tomorrow's, although you can never count on tomorrow, it's nice to know you can plan on tomorrow, whether that means you can do better, start something new, plan something exciting, whatever it is that can't be done today, it's nice to make plans (does that make sense?)

Pathetic

I'm about to admit how pathetic I can be...my DVR is broken, and I don't know what to do with myself. I have a routine---work all day, a few hours playing with the kids, then bedtime and then MOMMY time with the TV for an hour before bed and start all over. My downtime is important, and all my shows were erased and all my timers, and now I just have regular TV....AWWWWW! Regular live TV is aweful, I hate commercials, such a waste of time...dishnetwork wouldn't overnight my new DVR (yup, broken beyond repair, how lovely), so sometime next week I can get back into my routine...maybe I should discontinue TV altogether, I'd probably be more productive.....hmmm.....

Thankful Thursday

This has been a tough, busy, stressful, seemingly never-ending week...so today I'm just thankful it is Thursday, which means the weekend is that much closer. I'm not sure how much rest and relaxation is coming my way, but if it means I get 5 minutes to myself at some point, then it will have all been worth it (maybe I can slip in a manicure somewhere, I SO SO need one!) What are you thankful for this week?

Painting ideas....

I'm looking for creative painting and decorating ideas for a few rooms...
I want something that would work for a living room/kitchen great room,
Hannah wants a purple room...but I only agreed if I could find something cute,
and I want to do something for a craft room that has hot pink and turquoise.

Any ideas??
