R.I.P. Dorothy Brandon

Dorothy Brandon
June 11, 2008-January 21, 2010
Dorothy, our beloved gold betta fish, passed away at some point over the last week. We are not sure of the exact day because we didn't consistently feed Dorothy Brandon, and sometimes Hannah fed him too much. Dorothy Brandon was purchased for Hannah's 4th birthday while she was in the Elmo phase. (Elmo has a goldfish named Dorothy, but I don't have any luck with goldfish, so we got a betta fish that looked like a gold fish.) Hannah had a loving relationship with Dorothy Brandon for some time, and he even made it through the move... much to our amazement. About a year ago I broke the news to Hannah that Dorothy was actually a boy fish, at which time she re-named him Brandon. That's about it.

Fast forward to today-

Hannah thought since Dorothy Brandon died that it was time to get a dog. I just can't bring myself to commit to such a relationship. So I did some hard thinking and realized that the little Frog-o-sphere at Hallmark would make the perfect pet!

Hannah has lovingly named her twin dwarf african frogs "Andrew." You can read all about the little-to-nothing maintenance they require at Brookstone, because they sell them there too.
(You basically feed them twice a week and change the water a couple of times a year...That seems to be the lowest maintenance pet I've ever heard of. But, incase you know of something even easier, you should probably let me know-just incase Andrews don't turn out to be hardy in the Fisher household.)

We welcome with love Andrew and Andrew, may you last longer than Dorothy Brandon since you two cost 10 times as much as he did.

The End.
